ARK Cooking

Ark Survival Evolved has many of the survival elements you might expect in a survival game and to keep your character going, you’ll

need food.

The food system is not as complex as some may think and you simply need to get a good supply of resources to always have something on hand.

With the use of cooking, you can maintain your character’s food level and even give them upgrades or heal them to increase your survivability.

There

are 4 cooking stations

in Ark Survival Evolved, consisting of a primitive and industrial meat kitchen, while the other is a primitive and industrial recipe kitchen.

1) Campfire

A campfire is one of the most basic and early types of cooking stations in the game, and this will be an option for those who are just Starting.

You can easily create the campfire with flint, stone, straw and wood, which are easy to obtain with the simplest or almost zero resources.

This is useful for those who need to cook small amounts of meat when they first survive in the wild and is also a good source of heat.

The following are used to power the campfire:

  • Thatch (7.52
  • seconds)

  • Wood (30 seconds
  • )

  • Sparkpowder (1 minute
  • )

  • Angler Gel (4 minutes

)

Using wood as a fire source will turn it into charcoal over time, which is later essential for gunpowder.

2) Industrial

Grill

The Industrial Grill is the final meat cooker in the game, and this may require more resources to manufacture, but it’s worth it in the long run.

With the industrial kitchen, you can cook more meat

in piles unlike the campfire that cooks them one by one and has more slots

.

This is useful for cooking some of the higher quality meats, such as premium meat and lamb, as it cooks it much faster and allows you to stack them afterwards

.

The industrial grill can only be powered by gasoline that lasts up to 40 minutes each.

3)

Cooking Pot

The Cooking Pot is used to cook Rockwell recipes

, but it can also be used to make dyes if you want to add a little more color to the game. Rockwell recipes

don’t have to be sourced and you can simply place the items on them to cook the ones you want.

Being a

primitive cooking station, the pot is limited by its grooves, as well as by the need for a water source that can be a water skin, a water jug or a canteen

.

  • Thatched roof (7.52
  • seconds)

  • Wood (30 seconds
  • )

  • Sparkling powder (1 minute
  • )

  • Fisherman’s gel (4 minutes)

As with the campfire, Cooking with wood will turn it into charcoal, which you can save for later to make gunpowder.

4) Industrial

kitchen

Industrial kitchen is a more

advanced way to cook Rockwell recipes, and has more slots and crafts much faster than its primitive predecessor

.

It has a higher number of slots, allowing you to create more consumables in a small period of time, which is good for preventing spoilage.

Keep in mind that since there are several grooves, you can place several ingredients, and if they share the same recipe, you will make them over time.

It’s best to always have a good stock of consumables in the game, regardless of whether you’re exploring or trying to live in your cozy base.
