Slow Cooker BBQ Beef – Slow Cooking Perfected
The slow cooker is the perfect way to cook some of the most delicious shredded BBQ meats.
When you take a bite of this shredded meat, you are greeted with an explosion of flavor thanks to our wonderful sauce. The meat itself is so tender that it melts in the mouth. It’s a truly delicious combination that is definitely worth making.
You will be able to feed four to six people without adjusting the recipe. I recommend serving some extras to accompany the meat. For example, I love a good side of homemade fries.
Any leftover meat is ideal for a quick and easy meal the next day. It should last about three days in the refrigerator or three months in the freezer.
If you prefer something a little simpler, then you should try our shredded meat recipe. Unlike this recipe, it won’t produce much sauce, but it’s still incredibly delicious.
Ideas for serving barbecued beef
This shredded meat goes very well inside a delicious muffin. I love adding some ingredients like lettuce, tomato and some cheddar cheese. But of course, there are many more ingredients that will perfectly match the meat and muffin.
You can easily serve the meat along with a couple of side dishes. For example, I love serving shredded meat with some homemade fries and a basic green salad. However, if you feel lazy, then some frozen potato chips are the perfect solution.
Slow-cooked barbecue meat will also work great as a top dressing on a pizza. You can use a traditional pizza base, or get creative and make a puff pastry pizza base instead. Whatever you decide, this meat is perfect as a dressing.
My last recommendation is to serve the meat as you would want a fajita. Simply add the meat along with some lettuce, cheese and other ingredients to a tortilla. Eat with your hands. It is a simple but extremely delicious way to eat this meat.
Best
cut of meat to use
For the best value for money, I recommend buying a cheap cut of meat to use in the slow cooker. The long cooking time will soften the meat and be as tasty as an expensive cut.
I recommend using beef breast for this recipe, but many other cuts will work well. For example, the flank, skirt, rump or baboon will work very well. Some of these cuts of meat may have a different name depending on where you live.

There are
plenty of slow cooker recipes that make use of beef as the main ingredient. Below are a couple of my favorite recipes that I highly recommend trying.
Our simmered Korean beef recipe is a must-try. It features tender meat in a delicious Korean-inspired sauce. It’s great served with rice, but it will also work with noodles, mashed potatoes or sautéed vegetables.
Another recipe I think you’ll love is beef and broccoli. The end result features some tender meat, perfectly cooked broccoli and a lovely sauce. The sauce consists of soy, sugar, oyster sauce, sesame oil and some meat broth.
I
hope you enjoy this simmered BBQ meat as much as I do. If you have any comments, feel free to leave a comment below.
