            After completing my pre-licensing, how should I prepare for test day?

            exam record:

            • For the fastest and most convenient exam scheduling process, psi recommends that candidates register for their exams online.
              • log in to the psi website and create an account. You will be asked to enter your email address and the spelling of your name exactly as it appears on your identification that will be presented at the test site.
              • You will be prompted to select the exam. You will then enter your personal and contact information. then you will be ready to pay and schedule the exam. Enter your ZIP code and a list of test sites closest to you will appear. once you select the desired exam site, the available dates will appear
              • Call psi registrars at 877-392-6422 Monday through Friday between 4:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. m. and 7:00 p.m. m., or from Saturday to Sunday between 6:00 a.m. m. and 2:30 p.m. PT to schedule your test appointment.
              • To take the test again, you will need to log in to your online account and select “request new test”.
                • The calculation to determine the number of tests performed is based on the type of test.
                • You can cancel and reschedule an exam appointment without forfeiting your fee if you receive your cancellation notice two days before your scheduled exam date.

                        • security procedures:

                          • Conversations or any other forms of communication between candidates are not permitted once you enter the testing area.
                          • With the exception of religious clothing, head coverings, hats, baseball caps, visors, wraps, shawls, hooded clothing, heavy jackets, and coats are not permitted at the test site.
                          • Children, cell phones, calculators, pagers, cameras, programmable electronic devices, and recording devices of any kind may not enter psi or cdi testing sites.
                          • No personal items should be brought into the test sites.
                          • Weapons of any kind are not permitted in the testing room, including but not limited to guns, knives, clubs, or sharp objects.
                          • No smoking, eating or drinking will be allowed in the exam area.
                          • Dictionaries, books, papers or study and reference materials are not allowed in the exam room.
                          • You may not leave the building during the exam.
                          • copying or communicating exam content is a violation of psi security policy and cic section 1681.5. either may result in disqualification of exam results and may lead to legal action and prosecution.

                            additional security measures:

                            • Your picture will be taken before you enter the exam.
                            • You may not wear a jacket, coat, or any type of hooded clothing in the exam room. sweaters without pockets are allowed.
                            • You may not bring a bag or backpack into the exam room. you will be required to place these items in your vehicle.
                            • psi only provides accordion-style folders for any element. these folders are left in the lobby and psi is not responsible for the security of these items.
                            • You may not wear a wristwatch in the exam room and you will be asked to empty your pockets.
                            • While on the site, you must not use words or take actions that are vulgar, obscene, and defamatory, or that disparage examining staff or other candidates.
                            • How is the exam?

                              • The exam will be administered by computer. you will use a computer mouse and keyboard.
                              • You will be directed to a semi-private testing station to take the exam. When seated at the testing station, you will be asked to confirm your name, ID number, and the exam you are registered for.
                              • A pencil and scratch paper are available at each exam computer terminal.
                              • Before you begin your exam, an introductory tutorial is provided on the computer screen.
                                • Time spent on tutoring, up to 15 minutes, does not count as part of exam time.

                                • during the exam, one question appears on the screen at a time.
                                • During the exam, the remaining minutes will be displayed at the top of the screen and will update as you record your answers.
                                • after you have entered your answers, you may return to any question and change your answer, as long as the exam time has not expired.
                                • While taking the exam, examinees will have the opportunity to provide feedback on any question by clicking the feedback link on the feature bar of the exam question screen.
