Ninja Foodi pork chops

I have used pork in various ways using my multiple cooking. This Instant Pot shredded pork recipe tastes amazing with an Asian twist and is great on small buns like sliders.

You can also use your Ninja Foodi or Crockpot Express pot if that’s what you have. Any brand works as long as it has the function of stir-frying (or brown) and high pressure. I have several different brands and they all work basically the same way.

If you buy meat in bulk like we do at the beginning of each year, you might want to try all things. There are so many great ways to cook different pieces of pork. I mean bacon is a fact and everyone knows how to cook well. However, when you get to larger pieces, it can be a bit confusing. We have all the answers…..

We have made the Instant Pot pork shoulder recipe that is so tender and perfect for sandwiches. I’ve forgotten to thaw it once or twice, so I also included instructions for the Instant Pot-style frozen pork shoulder. 😉 Both are amazing and you probably don’t even know that one started hard as a rock.

You can use our dry pork massage on any and all of the above cuts. It’s not just for pork chops as the name suggests. I’ve even put it in steaks when we smoke them and they come out of this world delicious. As for the sides, I haven’t found one that’s not great, but I usually make fluffy mashed potatoes or Instant Pot white rice.

Here are some tips to remember when making this type of protein at high pressure. You want to keep them nice and humid and if you do these hacks you will be more successful along the way;

  • Browning 1-2 minutes per side a little sautéing is a great way to start,
    • so don’t forget to deglaze your instant pot to avoid the burn warning
  • You should use some kind of sauce (that is not too thick) to cook them. Not only does it add flavor, but it will prevent them from drying out.
  • Use broth instead of water, add a little more flavor (it just depends on what you have on hand at the time)
  • Cook over high heat so they are
  • tender Always allow a release of natural release pressure

  • at the end instead of a quick release, which will keep the juices and give you the most tender pork chops imaginable.
  • It’s easy to make a creamy broth with the juices left in the pot, in sautéed mode

This recipe incorporates a

simple but creamy sauce to cook them, so not only do they come out tender because they are cooked under pressure, but the sauce gives it a delicious flavor 😉

There’s a printable recipe card for this version at the bottom of this post, but here’s a quick summary;

  • Turn on the pressure cooker in stir-fry mode, add oil, and then brown the pork chops on both sides. Turn off the pot. Remove the meat and deglaze the pot with 1/4 c of its broth.
  • Put the meat back in. Whisk the rest of the broth and tomato sauce together in a bowl, pour into the pot. Add the onion, mushrooms, worc. sauce.
  • Close the lid and steam valve and set them to high pressure for 8 minutes. (the time depends on the thickness of the meat)
  • Let it release steam naturally for 2 minutes, then do a quick release. Put Instant Pot in stir-fry again. Remove the meat and leave it under the aluminum foil to keep warm.
  • In a small bowl, mix half and half and cornstarch and add to the pot allowing the liquid to bubble and thicken. Add garlic salt if desired, whisk together. Turn off the pot and serve meat and sauce over rice!

How long to cook pork chops in pressure cooker?

Like 10 minutes. Okay, it takes maybe 10 minutes to build up pressure, so it’s a little longer than that. Think about it, that’s long enough to make your veggies and sides.
