soup
is my family’s favorite soup. It was one of the first recipes I published in Barbara Bakes. It is a slow cooker recipe that is simmered for 6 to 8 hours. I transformed it into a pressure cooker recipe and now it cooks in just 8 minutes. You can even use frozen chicken breasts and it cooks in just 11 minutes!
Pumpkin soup with chicken and Orzo is the soup I make the most. My husband loves having it in the freezer in individual portions so he can grab it for a quick lunch. At first I was not sure about the pumpkin in a soup, but the taste of pumpkin is very mild. Black pepper and red pepper flakes give it a little warmth and pumpkin gives it a great body and beautiful color.
Thick potato cheese soup loaded with thick potatoes, bacon, corn, and two types of cheese is another soup I make often. It is creamy and delicious.

with Chicken Sausage – My husband grew up eating split pea soup and this version of pressure cooker is super quick and easy. Mona, a sweet reader of Pressure Cooking Today, left a comment on the Split Pea Soup recipe telling me “I’ve made this soup a dozen times and we still love it!”

Homemade chicken noodle soup
is much better than anything you can get in a can. It’s the easy-to-make homemade chicken broth that really sets this noodle chicken soup apart.
Creamy chicken and wild rice soup
– it’s a new favorite. It’s a quick recipe and super easy to make. You’ll love that it’s loaded with chicken, long grain and wild rice, carrots, onions, and celery.

and hominy
– Pork shoulder cooked in a spicy broth until tender, then crumbled and combined with hominy to make a hearty stew. If you haven’t tried the hominy yet, try it. It is delicious and a good source of fiber. Hominy are just dried corn kernels that have been soaked in lime or bleach until the grains are soft and swollen, and slightly chewy.
