Instant Pot Spaghetti Sauce for Pasta [Homemade] – This Old Gal

The Instant Pot spaghetti pasta sauce (Bolognese) cooks in less than 30 minutes in the pressure cooker. The homemade sauce tastes like you’ve been simmering all day.

We all love the homemade spaghetti sauce that cooks all day on the stove.

With the instant cooker, Ninja Foodi or pressure cooker, you can taste the same with just 10 minutes of cooking time.

Meat lovers, use some Italian sausage and/or any other ground beef you want in your sauce. I prefer a vegetarian sauce and this recipe is my favorite.

My husband loves this Instant Pot spaghetti pasta sauce with whole sausages and meatballs. I’ve never been a big fan of meat sauce. However, I like to brown the sausage and meatballs and then take them out of the pot. Then continue with the rest of the ingredients. When we’re ready to eat, I usually put the sausage and dumplings back in the pot to heat. The husband can take the meat with his meal and I have some sauce. We both won.

However, sometimes I just crumble the sausage and/or ground beef/turkey and make this sauce.

Special ingredient for spaghetti sauce Instant Pot for

  • parmesan bark

paste

This makes all the difference. If you don’t have a crust of a piece of Parmesan cheese, you don’t need to worry. You can always add some cheese to your spaghetti and gravy dish.

For cooking on the stove, the sauce would simmer all day, but using an instant pot, Ninja Foodi or pressure cooker, your sauce is made in less than 30 minutes. I would have to stay home and stir and check the sauce. It’s great to get a pasta sauce all day long in less than 30 minutes.

How to Make a Nonstick Stainless Steel Pot

Turn on your instant cooker, Ninja Foodi or pressure cooker and allow the pot to heat up completely. Adding a grease to a hot pot, will make the stainless steel pot not stick. If you add fat to a cold pot, your food will stick.

After the pot is hot, add its oil and start browning the meat.

Fennel seeds add large amounts of flavor to this Instant Pot spaghetti sauce. They are easy to crush with the back of a spoon. Just be careful not to fly through your kitchen.

You can also find fennel seeds in my low-carb Margherita dumplings from the pressure cooker, which are killer and perfect for a low-carb diet. As a garnish, the low-carb Brussels sprouts Alfredo sauce tastes great in combination.

Chop the onions and throw them in the pot. Continue to sauté for a few minutes.

Garlic is best when it is only sautéed for a very short time. Therefore, add the garlic and sauté just one more minute.

Another very easy recipe to make is my Instant Pot Italian Chicken Marsala. It is rich and is a great Italian dish.

Carefully add the rest of the ingredients. Make sure you use a good wine. One that you would like to drink with your food.

Never buy wine that is labeled for cooking. It is cheap and quite unpleasant.

Wine adds a great depth of flavor and I suggest not skipping the wine.

Close the lid and you’re ready to cook!

Easy, right? Homemade pasta sauce in not much longer than it takes to open a jar of pre-made sauce.
