Slow Cooker Hot Chocolate Ingredients

You’ll only need 4 ingredients to make our Slow Cooker hot chocolate recipe and it’s super easy!

  • 2 pints of whole milk
  • 500ml

of double cream 200g

  • of dark chocolate 200g


  • milk


To serve

  • Squirty cream in a can
  • Chocolate stars – we use Milky
  • Way Mini Marshmallows

Vanilla Sugar Powder

  • (optional, just add a little vanilla flavor and some shine – the edible shine would be just as lush)

Necessary equipment

Slow cooker: We use VonShef slow cooker

  • whisk cups

You’re going to love how easy it is to make this delicious hot chocolate in the slow cooker

, it literally takes just a couple of minutes to prepare.

Step 1

  • Preheat the slow cooker at the low temperature setting.

  • Pour the double cream

Step 4

  • Add the broken pieces of dark and milk chocolate. Just a little tip here: slowly put them down, otherwise you will end up splashing milk yourself…

Step 5

  • Simmer for 2 hours

. Beat the chocolate milk

  • every 30 minutes, this only helps the chocolate pieces melt better in the milk and prevents them from sticking to the bottom.

Hot Chocolate

Once the hot chocolate is heated, simply ladle into cups and top with the jet cream, marshmallows and chocolate stars. I also add some vanilla sugar to make them shine.
