cooked slow-pot beans is easy if you remember that one can equate to 1 1/2 cups of cooked beans. When I’m smart enough to cook dry beans in my slow cooker and stock up in the freezer, I like to freeze them in small bags containing only 1 1/2 cups so it’s easy to grab as many as you need.
How long will cooked beans keep in the freezer?
The beans will keep in the freezer for months and if you squeeze the air out of the bags and make them flat, you can stack quite a few. (I put the date out of the bag so I know which ones to use first, and I wash and reuse the bags when I take them out of the freezer.)
