/>What

do I need to make slow cooking spicy meat tacos?

First of all, a joint of beef breast, which you can buy in supermarkets or at the butcher. Beef breast is a fantastic cut for the slow cooker and produces tasty and tender meat, and is relatively inexpensive. Alternatively, you can also opt for other types of stewed steak, such as chuck steak or leg and shin cuts. A joint around the 2 kg mark will easily feed eight people, with leftovers!

Condiments are those that appear in many Mexican dishes such as cumin, paprika (smoked and sweet) and chili. These (among some other herbs and spices) form the massage that is applied to the meat before placing it in the slow cooker.

What do I serve with beef tacos?

I bought some small-sized soft flour tortilla wrappers ready to use, you can find them on the “World Food” islands of most supermarkets. If you’re preparing a gluten-free meal, there are also cornmeal options or crunchy corn taco husks that would also work well.

For topping, I like to serve some crumbled Wensleydale cheese, as it has a smooth, creamy flavor that complements the strong flavors of the meat. I also prepare some avocado sauce and sweet corn and add a splash of sour cream. Sour cream is great to serve with foods that have a little spice in them, as it gives you a chance to cool the heat if you want!

In short, very! In fact, it’s one of the dishes I like to call “easy preparation,” as you can finish in the kitchen in 15 minutes before you turn on the slow cooker.
